Hello fellow bloggers! I know that I haven't posted much lately and I apologize. Life has been busy as I am sure it has been to a lot of us. I am requesting a favor from all of you...

I am asking you to help me raise $$ for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I will be heading to San Fran to run the Woman's Race Marathon with Team In Training on Oct 18th to help fight against cancer. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!

Thank you! xoxo

adios nyc

Dear friends, readers and fellow bloggers...

I am writing to let you know that I am venturing out of town for the next week which means I am going to have limited internet access. I will be traveling to VA to work with the Virginia Parks Department with the students of Lehman L.I.F.E. Woot woot. SOO with that said, I will probably need to hold off on blogging until I get back.

Hugs all around.

All my love,

Nicole

funk

I prepare my toes for warm weather as the bitter breeze subsides. The city begins to fill with young aristocrats bussling around trying to get from point A to point B. The trees are blooming, contrasting the skyscrapers and thick smog. Spring is here and with transitions in season come changes in life.

A lot is on the brain; location, jobs, relationships, art, moral instinct and a smorgasbord of emotions. I don’t remember the last time I took my Polaroid camera out to capture a candid shot. Five empty 3x3 canvas’s sit on my desk, wrapped in plastic just waiting for me to muster the courage to splatter paint all over them. As challenging time has been lately, I have come to the conclusion that I am in a creative funk.

Hmm, now how the heck do I get out of it…?

our deepest fear

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
